On Wednesday, August 7th RECA’s 2013 Leadership Development Council (LDC) class is holding a Family + Friends Fiesta to benefit Austin Achieve. The event will take place at Fiesta Gardens (2100 Jesse E. Segovia St.) from 5 to 8 pm. Admission is complimentary to all guests. Beverages are also complementary and provided by Deep Eddy Vodka and Guns and Oil Brewing Co. Food is available for purchase (cash and check) and is provided by Hat Creek Burger Co., Jim Jim’s Water Ice and Maudie’s. Entertainment is provided by Quick Draw Photo Booth, Epic Entertainment and Big Backyard Sporting Goods. Live music is provided by Waterloo Revival. There will also be a wine toss and a silent auction. It promises to be a fun evening and areas are air-conditioned!
Austin Achieve is a new public charter school in East Austin. The 2013 LDC class has partnered with Austin Achieve to design and build a fully functional outdoor learning space that will give teachers and students an escape from the traditional classroom.
