Structures is proud to be providing the structural design services for the NLand Surf Park in Austin, Texas. The park will stretch nearly 160-acres; the surf lagoon will be the size of nine football fields. Levy Architects, Aptus Engineering, and .dwg are also part of the design team. White Construction is the general contractor for the development.
This has been a challenging project requiring meticulous coordination with the wave generation designer, Wavegarden, in Spain. Other challenges include the design of a wide array of amenity buildings to support the park and careful design considerations for the poor soil conditions on site. The lagoon is currently under construction and nearly 250 drilled piers will support the wave-generating device.
