Uchiko was part of the 4200 N. Lamar adaptive reuse project which was an old, two-story brick-and-glass, Seton medical office building whose exterior façade was re-clad. The design evokes the atmosphere of a simple Japanese farmhouse with an emphasis on natural materials and evidence of craftsmanship.

The project is one of three Structures projects which were awarded an AIA Austin 2013 Design Award. If you missed the AIA Austin Awards Celebration on April 11th, join the AIA for a gallery opening on June 13.  For more information click here
