One of Austin Independent School District’s best kept secrets is the Bryker Woods Elementary School. With half of the student population on a transfer basis, this school offers a diverse environment. Their mission is to aid in the development of children so that they are successful and responsible citizens.
Ranked as exemplary by the Texas Education Agency in 1997 and also rated as a four-star school by Texas Monthly in 1996 established their reputation as the school of choice. Part of the success of this school is the Parent Teacher Association and their involvement in aiding the development of its children.
With an effort to see this school’s success, Structures provided them structural construction documents. The package included documents for the new gymnasium at the southeast corner of the campus; as well as, the new library addition. This new construction was a combination of concrete and steel components.
