4200 N Lamar

Description:  4200 N. Lamar was an old, two-story brick-and-glass, Seton medical office building that was redeveloped to be a 30,000 sf mixed-use building. Tenants for the building include Tacodeli, Floyd’s 99 Barber Shop, Cencor/Weitzman and Uchiko, the second location of the sushi restaurant, Uchi.

For phase I of this project Structures provided recommendations and construction documents for the structural components of the new exterior wall framing system, the new exterior trellis and for new foundation elements to accommodate new stairs, patio areas, and planters considered integral to the main building.  A general review of the existing structural system was provided and was comprised of a visual observation of exposed or easily accessible structural components to note type and general construction method.

Phase II consisted of providing recommendations and construction documents for the roof framing, wall framing and foundation for the new 733 single level addition.
