William Lupher, PE Project Engineer

William Lupher is a Project Engineer with Structures where he performs analysis, design, and additional support on an array of projects. Being a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas, Mr. Lupher brings a variety of engineering experience that includes heavy industrial construction, public and private infrastructure design, as well as building rehabilitation and retrofitting design. Mr. Lupher’s passion for building design is what fuels his success as a structural engineer as he loves the intricacies, aesthetic nature, and collaborative efforts necessary to turn architectural ideas into reality.

How did you get to Austin?

Being a native Texan and outdoor enthusiast, I grew up knowing that Austin was the crown jewel of the state. With its natural beauty, great food, and quirky people, it’s truly the best of both worlds. So naturally, I did what any smart Texan would do- follow the smell of good barbeque!

What are your hobbies? 

Reading, journaling with a fountain pen, running, biking, snowboarding, and adventuring the great outdoors.

What is the biggest risk you’ve taken?

Biggest risk came when I signed up for the Ironman Triathlon without knowing how to swim. Biggest reward came 1 year later when I crossed the finish line!

Where would you live other than Austin?

Anywhere in the mountains.

Perform a TEDTalk, learn a second language, hike the Patagonian Trail
