GET TO KNOW JORDAN

Have you ever lived abroad?

I wish. I’ve spent extensive time in Amsterdam, however.

How did you get to Austin?

Delivery room #17 in St. David’s Hospital here in Austin. Then later by pickup truck on I-35 via Lawrence, Kansas.

If you played hooky for a day, where would we find you?

I would like to say I’d be productive and spend extra time renovating my house but if we’re being honest you’d probably find me at Yard Bar playing with dogs and drinking beer or at Matt’s El Rancho singlehandedly eating two whole Bob Armstrong dips.

If you could have any celebrity live next door to you, who would it be?

Probably Matthew McConaughey. Throughout both High School and College I was involved heavily in music studios as a percussionist/drummer and therefore over the years I’ve accumulated an arsenal of equipment and instruments. I heard Matthew is a fan of the bongos, so maybe a friendship could blossom after he sees my collection.

Are you involved with any community organizations or charities? If so, which ones?

While in Kansas I was fairly involved with the MoKan Burn Foundation, Girls on the Run KC, and Habitat for Humanity. Here in Austin I’ve hoped to get more involved with the MS Society in support of my mother.

What is on your bucket list?

Visit Iceland, nail a backflip, witness humans on Mars, run for Austin City Council, or the most improbable of all – see the Cowboys win a Super Bowl.
