Doug Rothermel, PE, SE Associate Principal
Doug brings to Structures 30+ years of experience on both public and private projects. He began his career on the West Coast, where he was educated and initially licensed. He spent 15 years practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he enjoyed working on projects involving high seismic forces. His favorite projects, though, are in Texas. Doug was proud to work on the Texas A&M Memorial Student Center expansion and renovations in College Station and the 2013 Cotton Bowl expansion and renovations in Dallas.
Doug is an NCEES Record Model Law Structural Engineer with licensure in Texas, California, Washington, Nevada, and Arizona.

What are your favorite construction materials?
All, but if I had to choose it would be structural steel and heavy timber.
What are your hobbies/interests?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, serving at church, and Major League Baseball (I’m a Los Angeles Dodgers fan).
What is your favorite travel destination?
Kauai, Hawaii
What destinations are on your bucket list?
Cooperstown, NY, just about anywhere in the Caribbean, the Canadian Rockies
