
City of San Antonio Public Safety Building
The City of San Antonio’s Police Department joined forces with the City of San Antonio’s Fire Department for the construction of the new Public Safety Headquarters Building. Consolidation of the City’s Police and Fire Departments will allow co-location of the City’s Public Safety Services, the opportunity for joint operations, convenience for the public and the opportunity for shared common spaces while creating a new state-of-the-art facility.
The new Public Safety Building will include:
- Approximately 153,000 gsf of Police Department offices and service spaces
- Approximately 37,000 gsf of Fire Department offices and service spaces
- Approximately 29,000 gsf of shared facility, common and service spaces
- Projectile Resistant Design
- Seven story concrete framed administration building with steel framed lobby area and mechanical penthouse
- Adjacent nine story post-tensioned concrete framed garage with steel framed stairway enclosures
- Steel framed pedestrian bridge linking the administration building with the garage
